With original music composition by Renée Copeland, STORMCLUTTER illustrates the efforts individuals may take when working to resolve interpersonal tension and the inner chaos that triggers feelings of dissociation, paralysis and isolation.
Founded in 2014, this Twin Cities-based company utilizes breaking, abstraction and contemporary vernacular to create works that are intellectually stimulating and physically rigorous.

BRKFST’s egalitarian and choreographic collaboration is rooted in the hip hop adage, 'Each One Teach One'. Regardless of class, race, experience, age or gender, everyone remains both teacher and student. The lived experiences of this collective of artists, who identify as working class, queer and BIPOC, inform their compositions.
Lisa 'Monalisa’ Berman and Joseph ‘MN Joe’ Tran are the Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors of BRKFST Dance Company.
Lisa is the recipient of the 2019 Artist Initiative Grant for Dreamers, an experimental dance film chosen as an official selection in eleven international film festivals. Alongside BRKFST, Berman has worked with dancers teaching breaking technique, setting repertoire and original choreographic works at Princeton University, Bates Dance Festival and Dance2Connect Hip Hop Festival, to name a few.
A professional breaker since 2005, Tran is the recipient of the 2023 Jerome Hill Fellowship and 2019 McKnight Dancer Fellowship. Known for his uniquely intricate, non-traditional methods of movement and signatures, he has accumulated multiple first place victories in breaking competitions across the US, Europe and South America. He has also taught breaking technique, BRKFST methodology and set repertoire and original work on students at multiple universities.
