Black Grace is an all-male ensemble of six dancers of Pacific Island and Maori descent. In these Playhouse performances, they will be joined by three female guest artists. By combining Pacific Cultures motifs with contemporary dance they create a performance that simultaneously exudes the masculinity of black with the femininity of grace. Expect to see these men thumping their chests, grunting, performing acrobatics in synchronized unison and then breaking into their lyrical vocals with a sweet harmony and soft movements. For more than fourteen years, this has been the powerful draw of Black Grace as they delight audiences around the globe.
